	The Future of RidesharingPSA GROUP
2017
	With increasing adoption of ridesharing services, cars have started to shift from private experiences to social ones. Hence, as cars adapt into mobile public spaces, the experiences that people have will also take greater prominence. In collaboration with the PSA Groupe, we were tasked to design a Ridesharing vehicle that catered to the future needs of the ridesharing service.&#38;nbsp;


Interestingly, users favoured the conventional experience of a typical car-ride: a private experience that felt both personal and reassuring. 


What if the Ridesharing experience was personally catered for every passenger?


By adapting the interior space within the vehicle to cater to each user, MOVE aims to offer the same private experience of a typical car-ride within the shared ride-sharing space. The use of versatile seating, individual headrests, and small personal amenities adapts seamlessly and unobtrusively in every ride to create individual zones without complete isolating riders. 


Due to the proximity that users were with each other in the vehicle, considerations of the social etiquette among the riders, vehicle accessibility and comfort were higlights in informing each aspect of the experience, where it was supported by extensive user research, scale to scale prototyping and user testing.

	MAG WALLET (KICKSTARTER)2017

	
Life is made up of different moments and activities. Can daily essentials adapt as easily as we need them to be?


MAG is a modular wallet designed around this opportunity. Through the use of magnetic hinge, modules can be swiftly detached or reattached to meet the demands of each moment.

This allows MAG to transition seamlessly between a wallet that is low-profile and minimal, to one that can carry-it-all.
 Launched on Kickstarter in 2016, the campaign was fully funded under 24 hours, and raised S$27,209; 400% of its original goal of S$6,000 in 30 days.

LUNAR
2017Leveraging on the usage of discarded industrial cling wrap, Lunar is a series of light vessels that preserves the wrinkled texture of cling wrap naturally created during the packaging process. 

Individual sheets of cling wrap are carefully layered and heat compressed in an industrial oven, whereupon they are shaped and ironed to seal the edges together. In doing so, this creates a sensuous silhouette which both frames and celebrates the material’s lightness and transformation.

JUPITER
2017Leveraging on the usage of discarded industrial cling wrap, Jupiter is a series of light vessels that preserves the wrinkled texture of cling wrap naturally created during the packaging process. Sheets of cling wrap are thermoformed, then laser-cut and shaped. The reapplication of heat and pressure bonds the layers to create a light-diffusing shade. 

A continuation from the Lunar lamp vessels series, Jupiter focuses on exploring the versatility of the material instead, through a design as a wall, pendant and floor lighting fixture.

	PINCH for d.lab
2017
	Pinch are a set of containers designed for d.lab, a curated design collection by the Design Incubation Center, headed by Patrick Chia. 


The way we interact with objects can be focused at specific points: knobs, tabs and notches all communicate physical affordances on how to interact with our objects.


Can the abstract feeling of our daily interactions translate into tangible affordances? 


By physicalising the negative space between the hand and the object at the act, the common gesture of pinching has become the vassal itself.

	OTA DISHES
2017
	Ota Plates are a set of display dishes inspired by the similarity between the ridged patterns on the walls of traditional houses in Kyoto and the banana leaf; a commonly used leaf in the preparation of food in Singapore, namely ‘Otah’ - a local grilled fish cake wrapped in a banana leaf. 

The resulting design is an object representative of both cities; a union bridging both cultures and societies. 

Part of the Exchanged Forms Series, a curated design collection in collaboration with the Design Incubation Centre (National University of Singapore) and Kyoto Design Lab (Kyoto Institute of Technology).
